For practice nurses

In practices participating in virological surveillance, nurses may assist with respiratory swab collection and patient surveys. 
Practice nurses play a key role in supporting ASPREN activities, particularly in patient engagement and sample collection. This may include assisting with patient consent, completing surveillance surveys, and performing respiratory swabs.
ASPREN participation can enhance skills in infection control, point-of-care testing, and public health surveillance and can be recorded as a CPD activity.
